The ships named USS Enterprise, or just Enterprise, has a long history in Star Trek, but the Star Trek franchise also likes blowing the iconic ship up at every chance it gets… I mean, seriously, they don’t grow on trees. There's been a lot of whispering about ancient powers and long-lost puzzles in Star Trek lately. Chief among these are Star Trek's Progenitors, ancient humanoids from billions of years in the past. Well, the premiere episode of Star Trek: Discovery's Season 5 just mentioned them. The Star Trek universe has plenty of old, even god-like beings. I think it’s dumb the enterprise G is just a 25th century version of a constitution class. It’s too regressive, but the Nu trek, Picard series, especially S3, is -regressive- nostalgic fan service so maybe it fits.

That last item, reminds me of the still unanswered puzzle and/or question..what the hell happened to it after it was finally defeated.? Personally I would have done one of 2 or 3 things, if were there..(in that universe/time-line): mine it for it's rare matter elements, attempt to safely study it's alien systems, or..deeming it too dangerous..drop it into the nearest non-sunstar.. to prevent it accidentally getting reactivated..stopping the whole mess starting again.

Great video Adam. Loved your humor thrown in there about the J and the design of it. The J has slowly grown on me over the years to where I really do like it a lot now. It definitely is the most unique Starfleet ship to date. I think with it being a Universe class and it would obviously explore other galaxies...that means it probably had either a Quantum Slipstream Drive or something even faster. I mean after all traveling between galaxies required something faster than your usual transwarp drive. Who knows about its weapons. I'm sure it had the typical weapons of that time period. Whatever those were...dunno. I'd like to think they would have primary and secondary shields like the Scimitar did. Maybe by that time the Krenim and Starfleet were allies and probably had chroniton torpedoes. Or if they weren't allies with the Krenim, Starfleet could have easily made their own by the 29th Century. A rap battle between Daniel Jackson and Agent Daniels...LOL that would honestly be hilarious to watch most likely. Umm....series finale for Discovery the Enterprise is mentioned by a certain character. Won't say who in case anyone here hasn't seen it. I WISHED we could have seen a 32nd Century Enterprise. Would it have been the Enterprise-J? I dunno a Federation ship in service for 30 years is I guess a stretch. Never mind that the original Enterprise was 20 years old when she was destroyed. I as well would love to see a video of Doug Drexler teaming up with you guys for a video. I posted on Doug's Facebook page and linked him to this video so he could see it.

One reliable note is business (i. e. Star Trek) models have a life span of emergence, growth and decline. Where (think hard) do you think you are right now? Subsidiary businesses decline with the main business. That is, advantage shifts partners.

For your ego: watched many of your videos imagining a future that will never happen. My Wattpad piece 'Midway' points what the more likely will happen in the current century. That is, Star Trek imagines the current militaristic culture projected into the future - not likely. A suggestion: orient a significant percentage of the advantages you have toward those without that advantage, and you'll make a real impact on the future.

It's past time to retire the 1701 registry. For starters, it's silly to have an Enterprise J, or O, or even W. Would Starfleet REALLY go through the alphabet? Secondly, Starfleeet really needs to get its collective act together. After the G debacle I'm starting to believe that Enterprise needs to not be the flagship anymore and that the 1701 registry shpould be retired. Six versions are enough. Navies change flagships all the time, and registry numbers change. It's time Starfleet evolve.

The Miranda class ship was the end of the Roddenberry design of trek ships. Gene Roddenberry said things like engine nacelles can be suspended on tiny thin wisps of metal because it's the future and they just figured out how to do that. Well. Okay. But enemies who want to kill people in those ships are using weapons that make those thin wisps of metal evaporate into nothings of dust. Starfleet got its pants put on by the Borg, and then again by the Dominion. The Miranda ships were the ships that Starfleet had. They were fine for piddling about the Alpha quadrant, but once the Federation expanded beyond, these old designs were quickly decimated by what was to be found there.

My head canon says she is an extra-galactic colony ship. She was the Federation's last mega-project before it's slow decline and eventual dissolution after the Burn. The ship is huge, and the only reason I can think of to make something that big is if it is meant to support very long range and extended missions. Multi-generational missions. In the 31st Century, I think the Enterprise-J is still sailing through the intergalactic void. When we see her in the battle, it's because there was really no choice in the matter.

From ST Prodigy we know two propulsion technologies adopted by UFP. Slipstream, with Dauntless class known to be able to achieve at least warp 9.97 and protowarp on USS Protostar achieving something like warp 9.999999 for a short period of time. With protowarp Galaxy class could travel to Andromeda galaxy within couple of months.

You need a shuttle craft to use Discovery's turbo lift structure. 😒 Sometimes this time travel gig ends up being more story filler than sense. 🙃 The J is pretty much a community ship much like a Macross concept I suppose. 🤔 As for folding space. Seems a two mile ship is redundant to explore if you have the ability to "poof" from one place to another. 😄
